So what the heck is millennial skincare exactly? By that, I mean skincare for those between the ages 23 and 38 and even early Generation Z. We can't escape the sun no matter how hard we try - and taking care of our skin is crucial to prevent aging. Now I don't mean slobbing the nearest sunscreen all over your face and calling it a day. Every ounce of prevention is a pound of cure and taking care of our skin will only leave us with the instagram glow we all secretly want. The products I will be talking about are all Skincare by Hyram approved, a skincare specialist dominating the social media world. Listed below are 6 simple steps and tips to use as a guide:

1. Cleanser

Milk Makeup Vegan Cleanser for Normal to Dry Skin

Milk Makeup Vegan Cleanser - $30

I already raved about the Milk Makeup Vegan Moisturizer in one my last blog posts - now lets talk about their cleanser. Hyram recommends this cleanser for those with normal to dry skin because it will not strip the face of moisture and contains no fragrance. Other cleansers may be too strong for dry skin which may compromise the moisture barrier - this is a great cleanser for those who want to feel the ultimate cleansing effects without over drying their skin.

La Roche-Posay Clarifying Cleanser for Combination to Oily Skin

La Roche-Posay Purifying Cleanser - $14.99

This is an amazing drug store find for those looking to save a few bucks. At only $15 per bottle, La Roche offers a great amount of product for such a low price. Hyram recommends this cleanser for Combination to Oily skin. It offers a deep cleanse with out over drying, but may be too strong for those with dry skin.

Pro Tip: Those with Normal to Dry Skin should try La Roche-Posay Hydrating Cleanser

2. Serums

The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid

Hyaluronic Acid - $6.80

Hyaluronic acid is an antioxidant that helps prevent the skin against environment damage as well as promotes the renewal and regeneration of skin cells. It helps prevent against extreme aging and overtime you will find fine lines and wrinkles will begin to reduce over your face with the usage of this product. Hyaluronic Acid tends to be more of moisturizing acid rather than a drying one with the capability of holding up to 1000x its mass in water. This make its amazing for those with dry skin as it is extremely hydrating.

The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + 1% zinc

Niacinamide - $5.90

Niacinamide is a B3 Vitamin that helps to support barrier function. This ingredient reduces areas of congestion and shine by reducing the appearance of oil and sebum production. It is also known for its brightening effect on the skin and can be great for treating dark circles as well. This product also contains a 1% concentration of Zinc, known for creating a protective barrier for the skin. Zinc can also help with acne by reducing the amount of natural oil your skin creates - ultimately preventing the clogging of your pores.

3. Eye Cream

The Versed Vacation Eyes Brightening Gel

Versed Eye Gel - $17.99

The Versed Vacation Eyes Brightening Gel was featured in Hyram's "best skincare of 2020" video on Youtube. This is a lightweight gels that attacks dark undereye circles by using Vitamin C and Ginseng extract. This gel uses a vegan and cruelty formula as well as recycled packaging. Hyram says this "saved" his undereyes and is definitely worth a try!

4. Moisturizer

Versed Dew Point Moisturizing Gel Cream for all skin types

Versed Moisturizer - $14.99

This is a great moisturizer option for those with normal, dry, and even combination skin. Hyram talks about this moisturizer in another honorable video, "Best Moisturizers of 2020," mentioning this is one of the products he is comfortable recommending for all skin types. It provides a gel consistency - so not exactly a water cream - but has powerful moisturizing affects without being too heavy on the face.

5. Retinol or Vitamin C?

Vitamin C 30% - $9.99

Let's talk about retinol real quick. Retinol attacks ultimately any skin problem you can think of and is great for those at this age frame to start to use. It is made from Vitamin A and has many benefits including anti-aging, acne, acne spots, uneven texture, and dark spots. Vitamin C focuses on the brightening of the skin and attacks hyper pigmentation as well as dark spots. However, Vitamin C can be unstable and Hyram suggests to not mix it with other active ingredients. Instead, use your Vitamin C Serum in the morning and stick to using retinol (and other active ingredients) at night. He recommends checking out The Ordinary's retinol collection as well as the Vitamin C 30% from The Inkey List.

The Ordinary Retinol 0.5% - $5.80

Note: It is important to slowly introduce retinol into your routine and Hyram stresses the use of SPF while using this product.

6. Sunscreen
